I am pumped about the new innovation called the GreenWheel. It is a self contained wheel unit that houses everything you need to convert a 10 speedy huffy bike into a fast no carbon polluting form of transportation.

First the GreenWheel contains an electrical generator, batteries and an electrical motor, all of which only need a wheel to be respoked to fit in.Under its current configuration, a single GreenWheel (I think it may be possible to add one to each wheel ) can propel a bike and my tired derriere for around twenty-five miles ; if I can keep my legs peddling, than it looks as if I could double that to the 45-50 mile range.

2nd is the fact that this changes the world of mechanics, and time it take to put an Electric Bicycle Motor Kit together. If it is as simple as it looks you could be seeing far more bikes on the road ways!

There is no clear date of when these Greenwheel will ride into your local bike shop, or onto this site, but word has it that Copenhagen and South Africa are looking to add it to their public transport systems by 2010.
